Nesib Shamah is a multiracial filmmaker born in Louisiana and based in Seattle, Washington. As a producer, director, and writer, he was recognized with the Seattle Mayor's Award for Achievement in Film in 2019.

After moving to the Pacific Northwest, Nesib attended the Seattle Film Institute. He went on to produce and direct a wide range of content, including live music shoots, the music web series DESTINATION UNKNOWN, and the Emmy-nominated documentary WELCOME TO DOE BAY.

Nesib has been on the producing team for several films, including the short films HASKELL and MEHNDI, the feature film adaptation of Ahamefule Oluo's musical THIN SKIN, and John Helde's MARCIE'S. Moving into more writing and directing roles, his supernatural thriller SOJOURN recently completing a successful festival run.
